Welcome to BEEN!

Baltic Energy Efficiency Network for the Building Stock

Welcome to the website of BEEN, a project part-financed by the European Union within the BSR Interreg III B programme. BEEN started on 1 July 2005 with the overall goal of developing strategies and instruments that promote and enable the energy efficient refurbishment of the prefabricated multi-storey building stock in the Baltic Sea Region.

Our website offers you information on the projects' background, its targets, work programme, outputs as well as on the participating partners. Furthermore, you will be provided with relevant information on various aspects of energy efficiency in residential buildings.

The BEEN website, which has been launched in December 2005, is the primary tool for disseminating the project results within the BEEN partner network. Furthermore, it shall address and inform external experts and interested parties like housing administrators and residents, as well as the general public throughout project duration, which is until December 2007.
